Nuovo violentissimo attacco contro l' EEK ed altri dimostranti in Grecia

Un anno dopo l'assassinio del quindicenne Alexandros Grigoropoulos da parte della polizia greca, nel primo anniversario della rivolta del dicembre 2008, la polizia antisommossa del governo "socialista" da poco eletto di George Papandreou ha assalito brutalmente i dimostranti ad Atene, Salonicco, Patrasso ed altre città. Centinaia sono stati arrestati. Nella dimostrazione di 40000 persone ad Atene, una unità motorizzata della "Special Delta Force" della polizia antisommossa ha attaccato con i suoi veicoli, manganelli e lacrimogeni il gruppo dell'EEK. I barbari custodi dello Stato capitalista hanno spezzato le gambe e le mani di cinque compagni e quasi ucciso una militante da lunga data dell'EEK e moglie dell'editore del nostro giornale, la compagna Angeliki Koutsoumbou. Il poliziotto con la sua motocicletta ha rotto la spalla sinistra della compagna Angeliki e quando è caduta a terra priva di sensi lo stesso poliziotto ha continuato a colpirla col manganello e a prenderla a calci nella testa. Lo stesso poliziotto ha rotto la testa e il braccio di altri due compagni giunti a soccorrerla. C'è stato uno scontro con le forze di polizia ed otto compagni -- due di essi membri del Comitato centrale -- sono stati arrestati ed ora sono in prigione nel comando della polizia con gravi accuse. Molti altri compagni dell'EEK insiema a giovani di gruppi libertari sono stati arrestati a Salonicco e Patrasso. La polizia ha perfino impedito all'ambulanza di portar via la compagna Angeliki. Quando finalmente è stata portata all'ospedale, hanno permesso soltanto a Savas Michael-Matsas, il segretario generale dell'EEK che era stato presente per tutto lo scontro, di accompagnarla. Ha una grave emorragia cerebrale e la spalla sinistra completamente spezzata. Il governo ha avuto l'ipocrisia di mandare il viceministro dell'Ordine pubblico, Sig. Vouyias, a visitarla in ospedale, ma il compagno Savas lo ha cacciato fuori dalla stanza gridando: "Non permettiamo ai macellai di visitare le loro vittime!". La compagna Angellki Koutsoumbou è una ben nota militante trotskista, membro dell'EEK dagli anni '60, e venne imprigionata e torturata durante l'ultima dittatura militare dei colonnelli. Thodoros Koutsoumbos è un dirigente storico dell'EEK, editore del nostro giornale Néa Prooptikí (Nuova prospettiva). Vogliamo ricordare che il 20 novembre 2009 una bomba incendiaria venne gettata contro la casa di un membro del Comitato centrale dell'EEK, il compagno Yannis Yannatsis, a Petralona, Atene, alle 3:30 di notte mentre tutta la famiglia dormiva. Non c'è dubbio che il nostro partito, l'EEK, sia diventato il bersaglio prescelto dalle forze della repressione di Stato a causa del nostro ruolo nella lotta di classe, specialmente dalla rivolta di dicembre in poi. Mentre la Grecia è in bancarotta e c'è in agenda una rivolta dei lavoratori, la classe capitalista, lo Stato ed il governo cercano di inferire colpi preventivi ai militanti dell'avanguardia per intimidare tutto il movimento popolare e dei lavoratori. La situazione è molto tesa. Quattrocento scuole e molte università sono ora occupate in tutto il paese. È prevista una nuova dimostrazione di massa ad Atene e in altre città per lunedí 7 dicembre. Chiediamo al movimento rivoluzionario dei lavoratori ed ai militanti di tutto il mondo di esprimere ancora la loro solidarietà come durante la rivolta di dicembre.

New barbaric attack against EEK and other demonstrators in Greece




On the 6th December 2009, 1 year after the assassination of the 15 years old Alex an dros Grigoropoulos by the Greek police, the 1st an niversary of the December 2008 revolt, the riot police of the new elected “socialist” government of George Pap an dreou savagely attacked the demonstrators in Athens, Thessalonica, Patras an d other cities of the country. Hundreds have been arrested.

In the 40.000 strong demonstration in Athens , a motored unit of the Special Delta Force of the riot police attacked with their vehicles, globs an d chemicals the contingent of the EEK. The barbari an custodi an s of the capitalist State have br oken the legs an d the h an ds of 5 comrades an d nearly killed a long st an ding member of EEK an d wife of the editor of our paper, comrade Angeliki Koutsoumbou. The policem an br oke with his motorbike the left shoulder of comrade Angeliki an d when she was fallen in the street without consciousness the same policem an continued to attack her with his glob an d kicking her head. The same policem an has br oken the head an d the arm of two other comrades who came to help her. There was a street fight with the police force an d 8 comrades- 2 of them CC members- were arrested an d are now in prison at the central headquarters of the Police facing serious charges. Several other comrades of EEK together with youth of libertari an groups were arrested in Thessalonica an d Patras.

The police prevented even the ambul an ce to come an d take comrade Angeliki. When, finally she was tr an sferred to the hospital, they allowed only Savas Michael-Matsas, the general secretary of EEK, who was present during the entire clash, to accomp an y her. She has a serious cere br al hemorrhage an d her left shoulder completely br oken. The government had the hypocrisy to send the vice minister of Public Order Mr. Vouyias to visit her in the hospital but comrade Savas kicked him out of the room shouting: “we do not allow the butchers to visit their victims!” Comrade Angellki Koutsoumbou is a well known Trotskyist fighter, member of EEK from the ‘60s, an d she who was imprisoned an d tortured during the last military dictatorship of the colonels. Her husb an d comrade Thodoros Koutsoumbos is a historic leader of EEK an d the editor of our paper NEA PROOPTIKI (New Perspective).

We want to remind that on November 20, 2009, a fire bomb attack was waged against the house of a CC member of EEK, comrade Y an nis Y an natsis in Petralona, Athens , at 3.30 am when the entire Y an natsis family was sleeping. There is no doubt that our Party EEK has become the selected target of the State forces of repression because of our role in the class struggle, particularly from the December revolt onwards. As Greece is fin an cially b an krupt an d a workers’ revolt is on the agenda, the capitalist class, their State an d government try to give preventive blows to the v an guard fighters to intimidate the entire workers an d popular movement.

The situation is very tense. 400 schools an d m an y universities are now occupied all over the country. A new mass demonstration is pl an ned in Athens an d other cities for tomorrow Monday, December the 7th.

We call the revolutionary workers movement an d all fighters all over the world to express again their solidarity as they did during our December revolt.
